Intilecta for Web is a web-based application that provides simple and convenient access to Intilecta's designware and administrative functions from any standards-compliant web browser, running on any operating system. The Intilecta for Web client is a pervasive online only tool, that allows designware to be accessed from almost any connected device.

Highly scalable

The Intilecta for Web client has been designed and built to be deployed across a number of servers in a web farm. This provides a highly flexible and inexpensive mechanism to scale the environment. This has been done by ensuring that the framework follows a stateless model, and that content panels can be deployed in a dynamic fashion to each server in the web farm.

Dynamic designware deployment

Intilecta's software platform architecture has been designed to support a very flexible and dynamic deployment model for new designware. Content panels are built to function in relative isolation from each other and are deployed through a central location. An application administrator uploads the new designware package to the database, and then each instance of the web client copies the content panels to the local server on demand at runtime. This provides an extremely flexible deployment model that supports a web farm scenario.

Rich User Experience

Designware content panels are provided with the option to use a rich user experience through the use of a common Ajax library. The Microsoft ASP.NET Ajax extensions and Ajax client library is deployed with the Intilecta for Web client, which allows for very rich and responsive user interactions.

System Requirements

Intilecta for Web has the following minimum hardware and software requirements:

• Windows Server 2003
• Internet Information Server (IIS)
• ASP.NET
• Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
• Minimum 1 GHz CPU
• Minimum 512 MB RAM
• Minimum 1 GB free disk space

The Intilecta for Web client can be co-located with the Intilecta Enterprise Server, or installed on a remote server. If it is installed locally, then the recommended hardware requirements should be increased as per the requirements for the Intilecta Enterprise Server.

To access the Intilecta for Web client, a connected Web browser that supports the following minimum standards is required*:
