Designware Libraries

Intilecta's Designware framework and extensive Designware libraries provides for the pre-packaging of vast amounts of implementation experience and intellectual property. This allows organizations deploying EBI to fast track implementation time and achieve the right outcome by removing the need for costly 'requirements gathering' and 'customization' exercises.

Designware is governed by Intilecta's holistic Designware framework, shown in the diagram below, which consists of a number of elements that combine to drive specific behavioural outcomes. Elements describe aspects such as which visualization works for particular data types, which data types should be presented to each role through to the frequency with which data should be made available. Real-time, daily, weekly and monthly frequencies have relevancy but only for particular roles and behaviours. Take for example providing real time access for sales people to order status. Intilecta's experience shows that making such information available drives generally undesirable behaviours in sales people...they tend towards exhibiting order taking type behaviours as opposed to desirable commercial based behaviours.

Further, the Designware framework also provides a point of view on which designware levers should be made available to which roles. The combination of designware levers presented to a specific role or specific user can be used to drive behaviour and role clarity, especially in times of organizational change. Intilecta believe its Designware provides organizations with a best practice standard for driving behaviour.

At a more detailed level, the Designware framework describes data structure standards, data integration rules, source code plug-ins, colouring, taxonomy and navigation.
