Case Study - Transport and Logistics

Executive Summary

Case Study - Express Couriers Limited Express Couriers Limited (ECL) are regarded as New Zealand’s leading express courier, logistics and distribution company delivering over 40 million courier parcels annually through an extensive network comprising 913 contract couriers, over 1,400 employees, 36 locations throughout New Zealand, a road fleet of over 150 trucks and an air delivery network (leveraged through AirPost) of eight aircraft flying over 180 flights per week.

Given recent transformational changes that ECL had made in corporate and sales strategy, policy and direction, ECL required a proven way to drive those changes to every level and every employee within the organisation to institutionalize new and desired behaviours to propel the company forward. Put simply, Intilecta was seen as the provider of tools, methods and techniques to drive and sustain business transformation within ECL.

In positioning Intilecta's Enterprise Behavioural Intelligence (EBI) offering, ECL wanted to protect and extend their investments in Business Intelligence and data warehousing and replace the ad hoc, Excel based day to day management practices of the business with a standardised and controlled framework for the delivery and use of corporate information.

ECL saw Intilecta's solution driving new levels of business insight, user adoption and transparency throughout the business. EBI was seen as the accelerator to propel these existing enterprise investments forward and bring a new level of professionalism, structure and efficiency to the sales organisation.
